Day 1 Boarding

Kept thinking about this throughout the day, so decided to do some boarding for the first day.
- Open scene, in which PC talks to a receptionist at PAMH. While implied PC is being released from being institutionalized, this is obfuscated unless the player knows what CAMH is. Receptionist asks if anyone is coming to pick them up, PC says yes. PC has their phone returned to them, dead.
- PC charges their phone in the waiting room
- PC is surprised by the phone going off
- PC receives text messages from NPC, apologizing for having to take a later train and they're on their way ASAP, but it will be a while. It’s implied that NPC was going to pick up PC after being released, but can’t be there for them due to time mismanagement Player has options to reply, say they’ll meet them at the train station. Otherwise ellipses pop up and down, with various “please reply” messages.
- Extended cut of PC thinking, vignette effect implying psychological effect of what is happening
- PC snaps out of it and replies, saying they’ll come to the station to meet them
- Explanation of travel and use of the TTC to player, a bit of a walk around, maybe comments of objects or scenery
- PC rides the TTC, cutscene or similar. Same cutscene to play when taking transit with variants
- Meeting of PC and NPC, excited to see each other
- Explanation of being late, it is okay, so on
- NPC asks to take the subway since they never have. While moving through, it is clear that PC is uncomfortable being here, NPC does not seem to notice while looking around
- Subway is squishy
- Hang out
- Arriving home and being shown around
- Going to bed, NPC expresses concern about PC and it is implied that they attempted to harm themselves. There is insinuation that someone else they know did this, and what has happened is bad and that’s why NPC is here. PC is deeply avoidant, and they decide that it isn’t the time to talk about this, and go to sleep
- Shift in lighting, time has passed. NPC is clearly kept up by the thought of what has happened. PC is sleeping
- Shift in lighting, more time has passed. Both are sleeping
END OF DAY 1
I do need to do more vis dev on the PC, as since I was working fast to make the original game worked with the common character I use for comics about myself. So need to change that. Also trying to think of names for characters, so any suggestions welcome!
