Post Jam Vis Dev


I have had the brain worms of what to do next with this... 

So this is some vis dev to get out out of me, and so I stop constantly posting to folks I know.

I've been thinking of possible scenes, I think if I had spent more time boarding similar to the underground I might have had a bit more control over the narrative presentation. I've been thinking of scenes/screens I think could be interesting. Similarly thinking about how to travel by scene, which I think using the TTC makes sense. Below I also boarded out a concept for a map idea.

Same with characters. I like the sort of washed out colour palette here. I don't know if I could recreate it, but it has a nice mood overall I think.

Since the theme is around the buried rivers and two worlds, I think fading between the subway line and being able to travel the rivers could be interesting, or at least having them represented on the travel screen. The faded ones are the buried ones, and the saturated ones still exist.

Since I enjoyed animating for the project, I continued noodling around and practicing squash and stretch. Figured this might be an interesting method of communicating with the player, and it made it into the boards.

Anyways, I may add more thoughts to this later, but I thought I would share.
